Do you have your own network with an AS number? Use our IP transit service to connect your network to the internet with full redundancy. This safeguards the quality of your service. Routing is handled via the BGP protocol.

Billing method

IP transit is available from us on a 'burstable billing method', also known as the '95th percentile method'. This means we measure your data throughput every five minutes. At the end of the month, we rank these measurements from highest to lowest, then discard the top five per cent. The first measurement after that five per cent is the value used for billing.

A 95th percentile example

Say you take a 1 Gbps burstable connection. In line with your actual usage, your 95th percentile bandwidth is 10 Mbps. Once a year, a marketing campaign means you need 800 Mbps at the 95th percentile. You can keep serving your data without any technical or contractual changes. If the peak period falls within the top 5% of the month, there are no additional charges. If the period of peak usage is longer, only that month's additional usage is billed.
